Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) is a professional kabaddi league in India. It was established by Mashal Sports, which acquired the rights to Kabaddi from the International Kabaddi Federation in February 2014. The league began on 2 April 2015 with eight teams playing each other twice over a period of six weeks. Each team consists of seven players, taking the indigenous sport of Kabaddi to levels of new professionalism.

Pro Kabaddi League Season 8 (2021)
The 8th season of Vivo Pro Kabaddi will begin on 22 December 2021. Each of the 12 teams has begun preparations for the mega event in their quest for the PKL trophy. It will be the first time in PKL’s history that the entire season will take place at one venue. PKL 2021-22 will be held at the Sheraton Grand Whitefield in Bengaluru.

This Pro Kabaddi League Season 8 auction will be more of a mega event with the emergence of new teams and players joining this popular Indian sports league.
In August’s PKL player auctions held in Mumbai, 59 players were retained, but more than 450 went under the hammer. 190 players were sold for *48.22 crores. Notable player auctions included Pardeep Narwal, who was acquired by UP Yoddha for *1.65 crores, becoming one of the most expensive players to be auctioned at a league outside of cricket. Telugu Titans purchased Siddharth Desai for ₹1.30 crore.
